The Thumb spica splint immobilizes the thumb and wrist while allowing other fingers to move. A thumb spica splint is used to provide support for thumb injuries(ligament instability, sprain, or muscle strain), fractures, thumb sprains, and post-operative removal of casts of the hand/thumb.
